An Evening with Dave Pelzer

To bring awareness in April, National Child Abuse Prevention Month, Family & Children’s Center has invited Mr. Dave Pelzer to South Bend to share his personal story and life after abuse.
Dave Pelzer is a New York Times best-selling author and inspirational speaker. At age 12, Dave was rescued from an abusive home and placed in a series of foster homes until he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force at age 18. As a child, his resilience enabled him to overcome extreme life-threatening obstacles. He is the author of eight inspirational books. Dave’s first book, A Child Called “It”, was on the New York Times Best Sellers List for over 6 years and documents Dave’s extraordinary journey. Dave’s inspirational work has encouraged countless organizations and millions of individuals.
