National Child Safety Seat Week is Second Week of September
Every child deserves to be safe. That’s why we’re on a mission to provide 50 new car seats to families in need by October 15, ensuring that infants and young children travel safely.

Why Car Seats?

Car seats are crucial for protecting children in vehicles. When installed and used correctly, child safety seats can reduce fatal injury by 71% for infants and by 54% for toddlers in passenger vehicles. With your help, we can make a direct impact on child safety in our community.

We are collecting BRAND NEW car seats to fit children 0-5 especially. These need to be brand new to adhere to the most recent and highest quality safety standards.

How You Can Help

  • Donate a New Car Seat: Visit us at Family & Children’s Center, 300 S. St. Louis Blvd., South Bend, Indiana, 46617, between 10 AM and 2 PM, Monday to Thursday, to drop off a brand new car seat.
 
  • Buy One Online: If you prefer to donate online, you can purchase a car seat directly through our Amazon Wishlist. The car seat will be shipped directly to us.

  • Make a Monetary Donation or Pledge Online: Every dollar counts! If you wish to contribute financially, you can donate here. Your funds will go directly towards purchasing car seats. Each seat costs $200, but any amount you can offer will make a significant difference. Use our online form to make a gift directly online or complete the form and choose "check" to let us know you'll be mailing your donation.
