Salary: Salary $50,000 annually; full benefit package

Work Hours: 40 hours, including evenings and occasional weekends as necessary for committee meetings and special events

JOB OBJECTIVE
Optimistic, energetic, innovative senior professional executive with strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills to plan, create, and execute all aspects of an agency development plan for Family & Children’s Center. Reports directly to the Executive Director.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field is required.
Required Experience: Minimum 3 years demonstrated, successful experience required in a full range of development functions including: annual campaigns, corporate and major giving, grant writing, marketing, cultivation and stewardship, and special events.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS: Must be physically and mentally able to perform essential functions, possess sufficient physical strength and energies required to lightweight lift, bend, or stoop as needed, and support and sustain the physical environment. Ability to manage a variety of tasks amidst frequent interruptions. Willingness to pursue professional growth through workshops, classes, reading, and in-service trainings. Ease of mobility throughout the local community for frequent outreach efforts, meetings, etc. Willingness to travel occasionally for professional development opportunities, and as a representative of the agency.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develop and execute resource development plan, including a robust and creative stewardship program for donors.
- Maintain accurate donor and gift records system and ensures timely recognition of stakeholders.
- Coordinate development initiatives and activities with the board.
- Develop, refine, and execute annual campaign.
- Develop, refine, execute, and evaluate all special events for Family & Children’s Center.
- Identify and cultivate plans to secure major gifts from foundations, individuals, and corporate donors. Researches and writes grants in order to procure funding and with careful adherence to deadlines.
- Professional representive of the agency, including public relations throughout the community, relationships with the board, stakeholders, and FCC staff. Work to enhance local, state, and national reputations.
- Optimize social media including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other emerging media to connect and engage stakeholders.
- Develop strong networks in the community to increase client referrals for the agency.
- Execute special projects assigned by Executive Director.
- Adhere to the highest standards of ethics, morals, and integrity.
ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES
- Design marketing materials.
- Attend staff meetings, individual supervision, and community meetings as required.
- Any additional duties assigned by the Executive Director.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Successful track record in sales, marketing or nonprofit fundraising.
- Successful track record in gift solicitation and closure.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft office, Excel, database management systems (such as Raiser’s Edge), and social media platforms.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm, initiative, creativity, and flexibility.
- Demonstrated ability to work with people from diverse racial/cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with staff.
- Ability to abide by strict code of confidentiality according to legal and professional standards.
