Part-Time In-Home Therapist

  • Corporation: Family & Children’s Center, Inc.
  • Compensation:  $45.00 hourly, 25-30 hours weekly
  • Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
  • Work Hours: 25-30 hours hybrid; including evenings and occasional weekends, on-call for client crisis intervention.
  • Immediate Supervisor: Director of Program Impact and Compliance
 
JOB OBJECTIVE
  • To provide integrated high-quality mental health services and care for Family & Children’s Center clients to promote health and well-being for all ages. To assist and help clients struggling with a variety of mental health conditions or addictions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Align with Family & Children’s Center objectives and metrics while providing hands on support and encouragement for clients through home and/or office-based therapy services.
  • Provides treatment plans and support for a diverse client base.
  • Participate in clinical and/or educational interventions.
  • Manage referrals from Family & Children’s Center programs.
  • Meet grant reporting requirements.
  • Provide intake assessments.
  • Treat patients of all ages and behavior health using evidence-based therapy methods.
  • Follow standards of care for each client.
  • Provide documentation of all therapy sessions in appropriate records.
  • Maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
 
ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES
  • Provide consultation to Family & Children’s Center program staff concerning clients.
  • Attend staff meetings, individual and group supervision, community meetings, etc. as pertinent and required.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Program Impact.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education/Experience:  Master’s Degree is required with at least one year mental health field experience.
  • License/Certification:  Licensed Clinical Social Worker LCSW or Licensed Mental Health Clinician LMHC required.
 
 
ABILITIES:
        ●Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. 
        ● Ability to build rapport quickly and easily, and establish mutually-respectful relationships with Family &
           Children’s  Services staff and clients
        ● Ability and willingness to engage a diverse workforce.
        ● Bilingual abilities are a plus. 
 
SKILLS:
        ● Intervention skills and sound professional judgment
        ● Requires in-depth knowledge of mental health service principles and practices 
        ● Requires the ability to function independently
        ● Demonstrate planning, organization and analytical skills
        ● Assessment, evaluation, identification, and service documentation skills
        ● Solid written skills, particularly in documentation and reporting areas;  timeliness with deadlines
        ● Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and database management.

  • Maintain boundaries and good working relationships with staff and clients.
  • Abide by strict code of confidentiality according to legal and professional standards.
  • Maintain high degree of sensitivity and responsiveness to client and staff needs.
  • Carry out agency goals and policies.
 
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Hybrid position. Work is performed remotely, in homes, and/or in an office environment.
  • The therapist in this position will determine their schedule according to the needs of their client case load.
