Part-Time DIRECTOR OF Business Operations Family & Children’s Center
Status: Part-Time; Non-Exempt – Hourly Work Hours: 20 hours- 25 hours as needed with flexibility Wages: $31.25 to $34.55 per hour Immediate Supervisor: Executive Director
JOB OBJECTIVE The Director of Business Operations provides direction, control and coordination of all financial activities of the Agency and designated other business functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Develop and maintain policies and procedures for all financial activity. 2. Develop and maintain a system of internal control to safeguard agency assets. 3. Prepare, review and analyze financial data for all corporations, including preparation of Budgets and monthly and year to date financial statements. 4. Take an active role in the year-end audit of all corporations. 5. Special projects as assigned by Executive Director. 6. Financials of organizations as a whole and long term strategic planning. 7. Assist in grants, proposals and reports. 8. Assists in all special funding audits. 9. Assists in fund raising planning, committees and work. 10. Cash management including accounts payable and receivables. 11. Assist with Agency tax return filing. 12. Serves as one of the primary point of contacts for insurance related matters, I.T., telephone, Purchasing. 13. Presents financial statements to the Boards. (Family & Children’s Center, Inc., Family & Children’s Center Foundation, Inc., and Family & Children’s Center Counseling & Development Services, Inc..
QUALIFICATIONS Education: B.A. or B.S. in accounting; CPA preferred.
Experience: 5-7 years of accounting and supervisory experience.
Technical Skills: All related accounting skills, calculator and computer skills.
Physical, Mental and Special Demands: Work is typically performed in a normal office environment.
Must have the ability to sit for majority of 8-hour day and up to two hours at a time for desktop work.
Ability to perform gross and fine motor activities required for typing, writing, simple manipulations such as telephone buttons, computer keyboards, fax machine buttons, calculator, etc.
Ability to bend, twist, reach, stoop, squat for filing and retrieval of stored files and supplies.
Visual acuity to for accurate reading, typing, filing and use of computer screens.
Ability to lift and carry 10 to 15 pounds of office supplies.
Ability to operate vehicle in safe manner or have transportation for travel to banks, meetings, at various office sites, etc.
Ability to work at a rapid pace and where frequent interruptions may occur.
Ability to tolerate a variety of tasks, which may be repetitive.
Ability to work in environment with multiple demands and deadlines.
