About Daunte Culpepper
Join us for an inspiring evening with Daunte Culpepper, former NFL quarterback and three-time Pro Bowl selection, as he shares his extraordinary journey from a challenging start to professional sports stardom and his ongoing commitment to empowering children.

After being born to a mother serving time, Daunte was adopted at just one day old by a single woman named Emma Lewis Culpepper, who adopted and raised fifteen children. With her guidance, Daunte overcame remarkable odds to become a star in the NFL by leading the Minnesota Vikings to the NFC Championship and setting records for his outstanding performance. Known for his powerful arm and skill on the field, Daunte set a single-season record for combined passing and rushing yards in 2004 and was considered one of the most talented quarterbacks of his time. Off the field, Daunte cares deeply about helping children find loving homes by working with the African American Adoption Agency. With a deep, personal understanding of resilience and belonging, Daunte’s story is a testament to the power of family, community, and perseverance.
