Status: Full-time; $15.00 - $16.00/hour with bachelor's degree; 40 hours/week; Non-Exempt

JOB OBJECTIVE:
To provide services to adult and child clients in keeping with Family & Children’s Services mission to empower individuals and families through advocacy, education, counseling and support, in order to prevent abuse and promote human growth and dignity.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: BA/BS in Human Services is preferred. Spanish-speaking abilities preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2 years working with families in a supervised setting.
●Experience working with or providing services to children and family member participants;
●Experience with family/participant services that embrace the concepts of family-centered and strength-based service provision
●Experience in providing services to culturally diverse communities/families/participants
●Knowledge of maternal-infant mental health and concepts of child abuse and neglect
Abilities:
●Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
●Ability to build rapport quickly and easily.
●Ability to establish trusting relationships.
●Ability and willingness to work with the culturally diverse target population.
●Bilingual abilities are a plus.
Skills:
●Crisis intervention
●Assessment, evaluation, and treatment planning
●Group facilitation
●Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and database management.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in and out of an office environment. Assessment of children may involve bending, kneeling, and play activities on the floor. Will need transportation to provide services in the home, attend meetings, and conduct groups at locations other than Family & Children’s Center’s corporate offices.

JOB OBJECTIVE:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide assessment, treatment planning, short-term supportive services, referral/linkage and group facilitation for families referred to Healthy Families Program.
- Provide short-term case management functions and perform collateral tasks as needed.
- Maintain complete and up-to-date screen records and referrals.
- Attend specific community committee meetings with partner agencies.
- Provide “marketing” to the community regarding the Healthy Families Program by building relationships with funders and potential funders.
- Stay up-to-date on programs, agencies, and businesses available to Healthy Families assessment/home visit clients.
- Maintain up-to-date records regarding community resources.
ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES
- Arrange physical environment for group sessions.
- Provide consultation to other Healthy Families program staff and Family & Children’s Services staff.
- Attend staff meetings, individual and group supervision, community meetings, etc. as required.
- Attend all required Healthy Families Indiana meetings and trainings.
- Other duties as assigned by Healthy Families Supervisor or Manager.
