On Call Duties: No
Working Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Full-Time 40- 45 hours per week

Supervises: Healthy Families FSS / FRS Staff
Immediate Supervisor: Healthy Families Program Manager
Job Objective:
To provide supervision to Healthy Families direct service staff and maintain quality programming as set by the Healthy Families America Credentialing standards. Provide crisis intervention and assessment in keeping with Family and Children’s Center, Inc.’s mission to empower individuals and families by promoting human growth, dignity and preventing abuse through advocacy, education, and support services.
Essential Job Functions
Additional Job Duties:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree required. MSW or Master’s in Human Services preferred. A non-Master’s candidate must demonstrate strong HFA skills and may be asked to complete additional training as specified by the Program Manager.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years individual/family therapy in a supervised setting or 4 years case management experience preferred. Direct experience with Healthy Families is preferred. Supervisory experience is preferred.
●Solid understanding and experience in supervising and motivating staff as well as providing support in stressful work environments
●Knowledge of infant and child development and parent-child attachment
●Experience with family/participant services that embrace the concepts of family-centered and strength-based service provision
●Knowledge of maternal-infant mental health and concepts of child abuse and neglect
●Experience in providing services to culturally diverse communities/families/participants
●Experience in home visitation with a strong background in prevention services to the 0-3 age population
Abilities:
●Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Bilingual abilities are a plus.
Skills:
●Supervision and leadership

●Assessment, evaluation, and treatment planning
●Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and database management.
Work Environment
Work is performed in and out of an office environment. Activities with families and children may involve bending, kneeling, and play activities on the floor. Will need transportation to attend meetings, meet with clients in their homes, and conduct groups at locations other than Family & Children’s Center’s corporate offices.

- Provide ongoing intensive supervision to the direct service staff as required by HFA.
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of Healthy Families St. Joseph County.
- Assist with interview processes for new staff.
- Evaluate performance of Healthy Families direct service staff.
- Provide intervention, assessment, evaluation of staff to maintain HFA standards and job expectations.
- Provide intervention, assessment, treatment planning, brief and long-term supportive services, referral/linkage for clients referred/accepted into Healthy Families St. Joseph County.
- Maintain contact with community agencies as they relate to Healthy Families St. Joseph County.
- Provide case management functions and perform collateral tasks.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date staff and client records.
Additional Job Duties:
- Actively participate in planning and facilitation of all program activities, including recruitment, capacity building and community awareness events.
- Provide consultation to other Healthy Families program staff.
- Attend staff meetings, individual and group supervision, community meetings, etc. as required.
- Attend all required Healthy Families Indiana meetings and trainings
- Other duties as assigned by Healthy Families Program Manager.
