JOB OBJECTIVE:
To provide Mental Health Consultation and Training services to Family & Children’s Center staff.

Education: Master’s or Doctorate degree I Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family, or related Human Service field required.
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years experience in Mental Health arena is preferred.
Licensure: Current license required, Issued by Indiana Behavioral Health & Human Services Licensing Board,
Clinical Social Worker, (LCSW), Marriage & Family Therapist, (LMFT), or Mental Health Counselor, (LMHC).

JOB OBJECTIVE:
To provide Mental Health Consultation and Training services to Family & Children’s Center staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Review all newly enrolled MIECHV funded families
- Identify families who would benefit from mental health consultation
- Conduct monthly review of each identified family; Develop appropriate intervention plan
- Work with supervisors and home visitor staff to identify priority of families, assessing highest perceived risk
- Accompany Family Support Specialist on home visits, as needed
- Identify/Monitor trends related to mental health concerns; Report concerns
- Respond to training requests from home visitors, supervisors, and Program Manager
- Conduct training, minimally bi-monthly, to address overall trends and concerns related to mental health concerns
- Provide monthly reflective supervision, minimally 1 hour, with each home visitor serving MIECHV funded families
- Provide documentation of all home visitor consultations in appropriate supervision records
- Provide service documentation to Program Manager and Department of Child Services (DCS)
- Participate in the evaluation of mental health consultation services, as requested
- Enter appropriate documentation in statewide data system (FamilyWise)
- Seek and maintain Endorsement from the Indiana Association for Infant and Toddler Mental Health
ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES:
- Provide consultation to Healthy Families program staff and Family & Children’s Center staff.
- Attend staff meetings, individual and group supervision, community meetings, etc. as pertinent and required.
- Attend all required Healthy Families Indiana meetings and trainings.
- Other duties as assigned by Healthy Families Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master’s or Doctorate degree I Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family, or related Human Service field required.
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years experience in Mental Health arena is preferred.
- Experience working with or providing services to children and family member participants;
- Experience with family/participant services that embrace the concepts of family-centered and strength-based service provision
- Experience in providing services to culturally diverse communities/families/participants
- Knowledge of maternal-infant mental health and concepts of child abuse and neglect
- Experience in developing and conducting trainings
Licensure: Current license required, Issued by Indiana Behavioral Health & Human Services Licensing Board,

Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Ability to build rapport quickly and easily, and establish mutually-respectful relationships with Family & Children’s Center staff.
- Ability and willingness to engage a diverse workforce.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
Skills:
- Crisis intervention skills and sound professional judgment
- Assessment, evaluation, identification, and service documentation skills
- Effective group facilitation skills, particularly in training settings
- Solid written skills, particularly in documentation and reporting areas; timeliness with deadlines
- Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and database management.
