Funds Awarded by Robert Curtis
November 4th, 2021 (South Bend, Indiana) Family & Children’s Center gratefully announces a gift of $50,000 towards a new program, Tech Crossing from Robert Curtis. Robert sadly passed away recently and was a longtime supporter of Family & Children’s Center. He was Board President of Family & Children’s Center and the Foundation and a member on multiple Family and Children’s Center Boards from 1988-2005. Many of the current board members were recruited and mentored by Robert over the years; another contribution that has had a lasting effect on the mission of the organization. Robert’s passion for supporting families and children in our community is why he chose Family & Children’s Center to be a be the beneficiary of his Life Insurance Policy after he passed. Family & Children’s Center is pleased to be a recipient of such a generous gift honoring Robert’s lifetime legacy to expand the organization’s programming.
“Robert’s gift will help children in our programs thrive. His gift will allow children in our community the opportunity to be prepared for kindergarten and have their parents engaged in their learning. The long-term impact of this is unmeasurable,” says Executive Director, Roxanne Ultz. “We are honored to be a recipient of this generous gift and were blessed to have Robert be a part of our organization’s history through his lengthy board service.”
With the support of Robert’s generous gift, Tech Crossing will be able make a lasting impact on a child’s future through expanding the program to more families and engaging parents with tools to improve learning, development, and school readiness at home with their children.
